Coaching and Leading

These resources may be useful to anyone looking to improve their paddling skills, looking to become a leader or coach, or current coaches wanting to refresh their knowledge. Most links will open in a new window as a pdf.

MKC has many Paddle-Sport UK coaches, instructors, trip leaders and club supervisors who can  provide coaching/supervision based on their Long Term Paddler Development (LTPD).

Coaching Sessions:

  • 5.00-5.30 pm Tuesday Evenings (British Summer Time)
  • 5.30 Thursday Evenings (British Summer Time)
  • 10am Sunday Mornings (All Year)
  • Rolling Pool Sessions (Nov/Dec)
  • River Running (All year, in line with trips)

Coaching Tips and Documents

These documents include: MKC Code of Practice for all Paddle Sport Activities, Club Opening duties, Constitution, Rules, Safeguarding, Risk Assessments, GDPR, Club Coaching, Leading, Finance and Coaching Funding.
